Martyn Thompson áka Fresh 27 is one of the hottest rising talents in house music. Combining his
talent and flair for producing, remixing and DJing, things are on the up for the Carlisle-born 27
year old.
Over the past three years Fresh 27 has been producing house music, with his tracks signed up to
labels such as Loopfreaks, Ministry Of Sound, Lowered, Soul Heat and more. It was his first track
‘Point of View’ (Lowered Recordings) which introduced Fresh 27 into the house music industry.
Prior to its release on vinyl, the funky vocal house track featured on internet radio shows and was
also aired in America on ‘Sirius’ by Stonebridge. August 2006 saw the track featured on the
Ministry of Sound compilation album ‘Housexy – Sounds of Summer’.
Currently a weekly resident DJ on Pressure Radio, Fresh 27 has the opportunity to play his
favourite soulful, funky and disco infused house music whilst allowing the listeners to sample his
DJing skills. Log on to www.pressureradio.com every Wednesday between 2pm-4pm to listen to the
Fresh ‘n’ Funky radio show.
He has other tracks and remixes in the pipeline plus collaborations with other established
producers. These tracks are undergoing their finishing touches and will soon be featured in Fresh
27′s DJ sets and his radio show to test the crowd and listener reactions.
